Q5 : My Seadoo sea scooter does not function properly after storage. What should I do?

Please make sure the Master Switch is On, the Battery Pod is fully charged and the Battery Compartment is completely dry. Q6 : My SEA-DOO® sea scooter does not switch off and keeps working even after the trigger has been released. What should I do?

Please disconnect the battery from the SEA-DOO® sea scooter. Re-connect and make sure it is well connected before switching on. If your SEA-DOO® sea scooter still does not work properly, contact the customer service centre / repair centre in US (1-800-361-2781) / Canada (1-888-388-8837) / Western Europe (+44-(0)1709-515157) / Eastern, South & Central Europe (+386-(0)5-6165020) or the store where you brought your SEA-DOO® sea scooter outside the above mentioned regions.
Q7 : My SEA-DOO® Seascooter™ works only for a few seconds or constantly cuts off. What should I do?

Q11 : I found some sand on the O-ring Seal, how can I wash it out?

Sand or grit is the enemy of O-ring Seals. To remove sand or grit from the O-ring Seal, rinse the O-ring Seal in fresh water and apply fresh lubricant (Model no.: Vites SG60N00, Vites SG60N0, Vites SG60N1, Vites SG60N2, Vites SG60N3). If there is sand inside the Battery Housing, gently brush the sand from the unit, take care not to scratch the sealing surface.
If an O-ring Seal is damaged, replaced it with a new one and apply fresh lubricant (Model no.: Vites SG60N00, Vites SG60N0, Vites SG60N1, Vites SG60N2, Vites SG60N3) before use.
Q12 : Some water entered the battery chamber. Is my SEA-DOO® sea scooter still safe and working?

Every SEA-DOO® sea scooter is designed for protection against accidental flooding of the battery chamber. For safety, turn OFF the master switch, remove the SEA-DOO® sea scooter from the water and check the Battery Pod and Battery Chamber for water ingress. Always observe safe diving practice if this occurs during a dive. If salt water has entered into the chamber, rinse it out with fresh water. Dry the battery pod and battery chamber thoroughly and resemble for use.
Q 13: I heard a buzzer when using the SEA-DOO® sea scooter and its motor becomes intermittent, what is going on?

This situation may happen to the SEA-DOO® sea scooter Explorer as it has a built-in water leakage sensor. When a buzzer is heard or the propeller becomes intermittent, this may means water has entered the housing(s). For safety, turn OFF the master switch, remove the SEA-DOO® sea scooter from the water and check the Battery Pod and Battery Chamber for water ingress. Always observe safe diving practice if this occurs during a dive. If salt water has entered into the chamber, rinse it out with fresh water. Dry the battery pod and battery chamber thoroughly and resemble for use.
If the Battery Pod and Battery Chamber is dry and the water leakage sensor continues to beep then there is a leak in the motor housing. Remove the Battery Pod and contact customer service centre / repair centre for maintenance.
Q14 : I found some sand on the O-ring Seal, how can I wash it out?

Q17 : Can I wear sunscreen while using the SEA-DOO® sea scooter?

Sunscreen and sun tan oils or lotions might damage the plastic. Try to avoid prolonged contact.
Q18: Are there any things that I have to aware of when charging the SD6545 and SD6541 battery pod?

SD6545 and SD6541 sea scooter products both have built-in low voltage cut out feature, when the battery is discharged to a certain low voltage level, the built-in controller will cut off the battery power. For a fully charged battery of SD6545 and SD6541, the cut out time is around 1 hr and 2 hrs respectively. When the battery power is cut, user has to recharge the battery. Charging time for SD6545 and SD6541 is around 8 hrs and 10 hrs respectively. Then the product can be used again after the battery is reconnected.
Q 19: Can I store the SEA-DOO® sea scooter in an outdoor area?

No. Always keep the SEA-DOO® sea scooter out of direct sunlight when not in use to preserve the plastic housing and the batteries.
Q 20: I found something is blocking the propeller, how can I remove the obstacle?

Q21 : Can I wear sunscreen while using the SEA-DOO® sea scooter?

Sunscreen and sun tan oils or lotions might damage the plastic. Try to avoid prolonged contact.
Q 22: What should I pay attention to before using my SEA-DOO® sea scooter?

1. Users with long hair should tie it up or wear a swimming cap when using the SEA-DOO® sea scooter
2. Always inspect the swimming area to ensure it is free of hazards or obstacles such as boats and swimmers before using the SEA-DOO® sea scooter
3. Familiarize yourself with the SEA-DOO® sea scooter functions and battery life before embarking on any dives or excursions.
4. Always charge battery to its fullest before using the SEA-DOO® sea scooter. Ensure sufficient battery charge remains for return to shore or surface.
5. Always wear a coast guard approved personal floatation device when using the SEA-DOO® sea scooter
6. Be aware of appropriate water levels, tidal changes, dangerous currents, weather changes and strong offshore winds. Always scout unfamiliar water.
Q23 : Can I safely travel overseas with my SEA-DOO® sea scooter?

1. SEA-DOO® sea scooters are powered by maintenance free, sealed Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VLRA) batteries and generally unrestricted for transport by any means.
2. ALWAYS contact your carrier/airline prior to scheduling and ticketing. Each individual carrier/airline may have more restrictive policies,
3. ALWAYS carry a copy of the Instruction Manual with you to elaborate on the purpose and use of the battery and Sea scooter, in case asked by terminal & carrier staff or customs .
4. Be aware that the "Captain" always has the final word on items carried on the aircraft/ship.
